ProLego Protein as lego blocks ...

ProLego Topologies and Proteins can be browsed programatically with API. At present, ProLegoDB can be accessed with following ways:

Note: The results will be in JSON formatted file. Which can be asily parsable with any popular programming module (example: python, JavaScript, Perl , Matlab)

  1. Topologies of a Secondary structure composition
  2. General API: www.proteinlego.com/api/sse/<"sse_string>"/

    sse_string = string of secondary structure from N to C terminal

    Example :

    (a) Extract topologies for protein chain with sse_string="HHEE" --> api : www.proteinlego.com/api/sse/HHEE

  3. Topology with number of Helix and Sheets
  4. General API: www.proteinlego.com/api/topology/<"#helix>/<'#Strands>/

    #helix = Total number of alpha helix

    #strands= Total number beta strand

    Example :

    (a) Extract topologies for protein chain with Helix = 2 and strands= 2 api : www.proteinlego.com/api/topology/2/2/

  5. Topology for a Protein
  6. General API: www.proteinlego.com/api/protein/<'pdbId>/

    pdbId = Protein Data Bank Id [4 cahracter alpha numeric]

    Example :

    (a) Extract topologies for PDB id: 2zw1 api : www.proteinlego.com/api/2zw1/
